2007 Highlights
Comedian and actor, SINBAD, served as the Ambassador for the 66th Annual Food World Magic City Classic. "Bad" is one of few comedians whose vibrancy and solid requtation for clean, respectable fun ensures that he will be a mjor player in the field of entertainment for years to come.
The "fly jock", Tom Joyner, is a native of Alabama and has a strong affinity for black colleges.  The Tom Joyner Foundation has raised millions of dollars for students attending HBCUs.  For the 2nd year in a row, Tom has attended the Magic City Classic.  This year he served as the honorary coin tosser to begin the competition. 
James Harris, also known as "Shack" was the keynote speaker at the Magic City Classic Team Luncheon.  Mr. Harris, is the Vice President of player personnel for the Jacksonville Jaguars and was the first African American quarterback drafted into the NFL.  Mr. Harris played 12 seasons in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills, LA Rams, and Sand Deigo Chargers. 

Dr. Tonea Stewart - actor, directress, educator, humanitarian, and orator.  Some of her most noted works are roles in "In the Heat of the Night"," A Time to Kill", and "Touched by an Angel".  Dr. Stewart is the Director of Theatre Arts at Alabama State University and a graduate of Jackson State University. She served as the keynote speaker of the Magic City Classic Kickoff Luncheon.  Her electrifying speach brought the crowd to tears and cheers. 

2006 Highlights
Radio personality and DJ, Tom Joyner, the "fly jock", served as the ambassador and parade grand marshal for the 65th Annual Magic City Classic.
R&B artist, Kieran, sung the National Anthem at the football game.
Mike Davis, Head Basketball Coach at UAB, was the keynote speaker at the AmSouth Bank Team Luncheon.
The Alabama A&M Bulldogs defeated the Alabama State Hornets, 21-13. The game was played in front of 66,233 fans, the second largest attendance in the 65 year history of the Magic City Classic.
Ruben Studdard, American Idol winner and former student at Alabama A&M University, performed with the Marching Maroon and White.
2005 Highlights
Recording artist and actor, LL Cool J served as the ambassador for the Magic City Classic and as the grand marshal of the parade. 
Da Backwudz performed during the pre-game show.
Former NBA Great, Terry Cummings was the keynote speaker at the BellSouth Kick-Off Luncheon and sung the National Anthem prior to kick-off of the game.
Merton Hanks, director of Operations and On Field for the NFL, spoke to the Hornets and Bulldogs at the AmSouth Bank Team Luncheon.
Alabama A&M beat Alabama State 31-28 in front of 68,238 fans. This marked the largest crowd in the 64 year history of the game.
2004 Highlights
NBA Hall of Fame member, Earvin “Magic” Johnson served as the ambassador for the Magic City Classic.
National recording artist, Ciara, and comedian, Rickey Smiley, served as the grand marshals of the McDonald’s Magic City Classic Parade.
Grammy Award winning R&B artist, Ciara performed at halftime of the game.
Congressman Artur Davis served as the keynote speaker at the Bellsouth Kickoff Luncheon.
Former Alabama Football star, Cornelius Bennett, addressed the Hornets and Bulldogs at the annual AmSouth Bank Team Luncheon.
Alabama State beat Alabama A&M, 24-20.
2003 Highlights
2003 American Idol winner, Ruben Studdard, served as the ambassador and parade grand marshal for the Magic City Classic.
Four time heavyweight champion of the world, Evander Holyfield was the keynote speaker at the annual AmSouth Bank Team luncheon.
Baseball great, Cecil Fielder was on hand to introduce Evander Holyfield.
Alabama A&M beat Alabama State, 20-17.
2002 Highlights
John Stallworth, 2002 NFL Hall of Fame Inductee, served as the ambassador and parade grand marshal for the Magic City Classic.
